Therefore, when a client is admitted for treatment at Hope, the family has a unique opportunity to start their own recovery.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Hope Family Support Program<\/strong> is designed to work concurrently with the client\u2019s treatment. Having a family member in treatment can be difficult for all who are involved and can often cloud the ability to make the right decision when it comes to helping that family member while they are in treatment or after they leave treatment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Hope Family Support Program focuses on understanding the <em>disease of drug and alcohol abuse<\/em> and how it impacts everyone in a family, constructive problem resolution and continuing care for the whole family.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Family members learn about various family dynamics and tools that they can use to build healthy family systems with someone in recovery from substance abuse. In addition, specific information regarding the family member in treatment is incorporated to ensure a lasting recovery for the client and healthy family dynamics.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The key elements of the <em>Hope Family Support Program<\/em> include:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0 \u2022 Educating the family about addiction<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0 \u2022 Briefing the family about what to expect from the treatment program and how to cooperate for maximum benefit<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0 \u2022 Introduction to Al-anon family support groups<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0 \u2022 Counselling for personal issues and conflict resolution<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0 \u2022 Participation in structured intervention sessions with clients in treatment<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0 \u2022 Communication exercises between the client and family members<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0 \u2022 Participation in the client\u2019s relapse prevention plan<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0 \u2022 Regular classes at Hope for families on various aspects of addiction and recovery<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Discover a new family at Hope&#8230;full of love, joy and new Hope!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Hope Family Support Program is a strong, effective support system.
