Neuropsychological Assessments
- Attention Assessment
Tests measuring attention evaluate the ability to focus, sustain attention, and switch attention between different tasks or stimuli. These assessments may involve tasks that measure selective attention, divided attention, or vigilance, providing insights into an individual’s concentration abilities.
- Working Memory Evaluation
Assessments of working memory measure the capacity to hold and manipulate information temporarily for cognitive tasks. These tests involve remembering and using information simultaneously, assessing an individual’s ability to retain and utilize information actively in the short term.
- Planning Assessment
Tests for planning abilities evaluate an individual’s capacity to organize, strategies, and execute tasks effectively. They assess skills such as goal setting, organization, problem-solving, and creating and following plans to achieve objectives.
- Set Shifting Analysis
Set shifting tests to measure cognitive flexibility, assessing an individual’s ability to switch between different tasks, mental sets, or perspectives. These assessments evaluate the capacity to adapt to changing demands and switch between other concepts or rules effectively.
- Verbal and Visual Memory Tests
Assessments of verbal memory evaluate an individual’s ability to encode, store, and retrieve oral information. Visual memory tests, on the other hand, measure the same processes but with visual stimuli. These evaluations assess the capacity to remember and recall verbal or visual information.
- Verbal and Visual Learning Assessments
Verbal learning tests assess how well individuals acquire and retain oral information over repeated presentations of learning trials. Similarly, visual learning assessments measure the ability to acquire and remember visual information across multiple trials, providing insights into an individual’s learning capabilities in these domains.
